Production is a special type of lighting that serves to create optimal working conditions for people. The main task is to provide such illumination of the working room, workshop, which will best suit the nature of the work performed.
High-quality lighting of industrial premises performs several functions:
Lighting at the factory is designed to make the work of specialists convenient and safe.
Professionally organized lighting of the workplace favorably affects the psyche of people, tones and creates a good mood, which affects productivity and safety.
MCO (International Commission on Lighting) published data on the results of its study, according to which, properly organized lighting of industrial premises can increase the efficiency of labor activity of staff by an average of 10%. Employee productivity is increasing, and injuries are decreasing. These facts are a clear confirmation of the importance of high-quality industrial lighting.
Lighting of industrial premises, workshops: main types
To organize a lighting system in production, various light sources can be used. According to this criterion, several types of lighting for industrial buildings are distinguished:
1. Natural light. The workroom is lit only by the light of the sky (direct or reflected). Natural lighting is classified into the following types:
the upper one (the building is illuminated through openings available in sections of the height difference of the structure);
lateral (light penetrates through openings in the outer walls);
combined (a combination of the first two types).
The main factor hindering the widespread use of natural light is its inconstancy.
2. Artificial lighting. Only sources of artificial internal lighting of industrial buildings (for example, industrial LED lamps) are used.
Allocate:
working;
emergency;
security;
emergency lighting (applies only after hours).
Emergency lighting can also be divided into types. Emergency evacuation lighting is designed to provide excellent visibility of escape routes. Safety lighting is used if, when the work light is turned off, the probability of an emergency is very high.
3. Combined lighting of production halls and other workrooms implies the use of industrial lighting in addition to daylight.
